About Pat
The Box of Memories Vintage Music Show is a fun and nostalgic musical experience that has brought back memories and joy to thousands of American seniors. The show involves only familiar songs designed to take the listener back to Simpler Times. It’s performed in a way that the audience can easily sing and participate in the show. Traditional country music specialist Pat Maue started the show in 2023 and it has been expanding throughout the East Coast since. Even individuals with severe cases of Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s are able to sing along. Benefits also include heightened sense of morale among residents, singing, recall with familiar song lyrics, great memories brought back, and affordable price that is competitive and will work with most budgets.
Several versions of the show are available:
-
- There is a traditional country and western show full of the biggest hits Nashville ever produced, most from the 1950s and ’60s. Newer country music can be played if preferred.
-
- A memory care program which includes songs in which even those with more advanced brain conditions can participate.
-
- A rock, pop, and standards show, if country music is not the preferred choice of a particular facility, Pat can absolutely play the biggest hits of 50s & 60s rock and pop.
-
- A Gospel and Spiritual program, featuring traditional American versions of the most well-known spirituals and hymns.
-
- Also an Elvis show, in which all of Elvis’s biggest hits are performed acoustically. Not quite an impersonation but an acoustic Elvis tribute show at an affordable price.
